On April 25, I talked at The Hmm about calm places on the internet, titled ‘about: blank’. Do you remember the legendary both welcoming and useless website Zombo.com? The Sonic Acts Critical Writing Workshop focuses on specific aspects – language, style, and focus – of writing as a craft. CLUB VOYAGE was a festival in the Vondelbunker in Amsterdam, with performances by YEAR, the Wild Raspberries and DJ’s Bert, Stefan and Tessel. Friends abroad ‘joined’ the festival through video projections of them dancing in Belgium, England, New-Zealand, Italy, Austria, Germany and Spain, projected on the wall of the dance floor.
The exhibition Souvenirs. De dingen en de verhalen at Felix Meritis presented an assembly of objects and the stories of their owners. The photography by Sophie Wright was presented as a new collection of souvenirs in the exhibition. Curated with Tessel Dekker, co-founder of Gevonden Voorwerpen.
Following FIBER Festival‘s theme exploring the Subterranean, I wrote an article for Simulacrum about the artists that help us navigate in the algorithmic and digital landscapes underneath the surfaces of our screens.

On Saturday the 21st of September, we celebrated /|\ HET VERVAL /|\ with more than 15 artists including bands, DJ’s, storytellers, poets, Autumn food ‘in verval’ and visuals. The festival was located at Pakhuis Wilhelmina and Delicatessen, at the Veemkade in Amsterdam. I curated and organized the festival with Denis Wouters and Cornelis Serveert.
